The aim of the study is to develop a national index of social well-being in the regions of Kazakhstan and, based on its adaptation, to develop response mechanisms that correspond to the conditions of the global geopolitical and economic crisis.

Based on the foreign experience of assessing social well-being in the regions, various social indices corresponding to the purpose of this study will be considered, which will make it possible to adapt them and develop the author’s index of social well-being in the regions of Kazakhstan.

The work carried out earlier will be the basis for the authors to develop a unified index of social well-being of the regions of Kazakhstan. The logic and methodology for calculating this index will be fully developed.

Justification of the mechanisms of the socio-economic block to improve the well-being of the population in the regions of Kazakhstan
On the basis of the developed model of the unified index of social well-being of Kazakhstan’s regions, calculations will be carried out, which will be able to clearly demonstrate the real state in the issue under study.
Justification of the mechanisms of the organizational and legal block to increase the level of social well-being in the regions of Kazakhstan
Calculations made on the basis of the developed unified index of social well-being of Kazakhstan’s regions will make it possible to identify weaknesses in the socio-economic sphere and take measures to strengthen and improve them.
Formation of an interactive digital portal for a single adaptive index for assessing social well-being in the regions of Kazakhstan
For accessibility and coverage of a larger audience of stakeholders to the issue of regional development, it is planned to develop an interactive digital portal for visualisation of a single adaptive index of social well-being assessment in the regions of Kazakhstan for promotion of research results and use of index indicators by local governments to take appropriate preventive measures.
